Emily Tofte Nestaval, MSW, Executive Director

Emily has been able to meld her passion for serving survivors of violence and non-profit management. Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Indiana University - Bloomington and her Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan. Emily has had the honor of leading multiple anti-violence organizations and programs including The Network to End Sexual and Domestic Violence (now H.A.V.E.N.) in Bozeman, Montana, Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA) in Boulder, Colorado, and the Sexual Violence Justice Institute; a program of the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault. She also had the privilege to serve as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA) from 2011-2014. Her vision for improving survivor and victim access to supportive and legal services in Colorado brought her to RMvlc in 2012 and her passion for transforming systems to be more accessible to victims and survivors continues to be her source of motivation.
