2020 Legislative Updates Impacting Victims’ Rights in Colorado

December 16, 2020
12 - 1 PM

In every legislative session there are changes to Colorado statutes that impact victims of crime in Colorado. This includes victims’ rights in criminal cases, legal protections in family law cases, access to resources, the availability of civil legal options, and privacy protections.

RMvlc works collaboratively with community partners to track and provide input about legal issues related to victims as they move through legislative sessions. In this session, we will provide a recap of legislative changes in the 2020 session. This will include a discussion with community partners from the ACLU and CCASA about the groundbreaking legislation in SB-217, and a conversation about issues to watch for as we prepare for the start of the 2021 session.
