Molly Chilson is a fourth-generation Colorado native living in the Arkansas Valley. She joined RMvlc after serving as a prosecutor and elected district attorney in rural Colorado. Molly earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in religious history from Hampshire College in western Massachusetts. She attended the University of Colorado School of Law, obtaining her Juris Doctor in 1999. Molly began her legal career as a prosecutor in the 5th Judicial District (Summit, Eagle, Lake and Clear Creek counties). She transitioned to private practice, serving clients in civil litigation, criminal defense and appeals. In 2004 she was the first woman elected to serve as district attorney for Colorado's 11th Judicial District (Chaffee, Custer, Park and Fremont counties). She served that office as a prosecutor, and again as an elected district attorney, until 2019. Molly has litigated civil and criminal cases in the trial courts of 17 Colorado counties. She has also practiced before the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court.
