Tim Johnson graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1993 with a BA in Political Science and Economics and a minor in Astrophysics. He then graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 1997. Tim was a career prosecutor for 21 years with the Boulder County District Attorney's Office. There he focused on the prosecution of domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, and elder abuse cases. He has conducted over 200 trials in his career including many very high profile cases.
In addition to his duties as a prosecutor, Tim trained both statewide and nationally with the Ending Violence Against Women Project (EVAW), the Colorado District Attorney's Council (CDAC), and the National District Attorney's Association (NDAA). Many of his trainings were focused on victim rights, trauma informed investigations and prosecutions, and evidence based prosecutions. Tim volunteers for many community based organizations including groups training Internet and Digital Safety in schools. Tim is an active member in the Boulder County community and volunteers for several non-profits. Tim Johnson joined RMvlc's Board in June 2019.
